It’s a product release day and our power went out, this is literally the worst time….
At least you have sunlight in the morning! It’s still pitch black here, even an hour after I get into work! Have a good day anyway, little Garfield!
Yeah, that’s true. I mean even when I took the photo it wasn’t pitch black outside, and by the time I was driving to work (5:45am) I didn’t really need my headlights on.
I wish I could say that helped me wake up, but, well…*points to recent post about glass of water*
I am the kind of tired where I nearly put a glass of water in my bag instead of on my desk.
That could have ended badly.
If you try to tell me that you’ve never fantasized about being the meat in an OTP sandwich, I’m sorry, but there’s a 9000% chance that I think you’re a lying liar who lies. I could be wrong, but good luck getting me to believe you.
When it comes to sports, it’s often a matter of trends. It might pick up in popularity in the future and new classes will emerge. In the meantime you’re still staying in shape and can focus on the other items on your list!
Possibly. You’d think with the high number of Filipino immigrants to Australia it would be a more popular discipline, but instructors are few and far between. The guy that I had a class with used to instruct at a gym near me, and also run cheap stand alone classes himself once a week. He also had another job though, and it often cut into the stand alone classes, which is why I didn’t continue…the three weeks after I started he had to cancel, and it was just too inconsistent.
The nearest place I’ve found so far is about 25 minutes drive away, but their class costs are sort of unclear and their schedule doesn’t really work very well with my life. :(
I could learn something else, I guess, but I did enjoy it and I would have loved to continue…plus it’s Filipino and god knows I haven’t got nearly enough connections to that part of my culture.
Well I don’t, as far as I know… :D So next Skype session we shall begin the lessons! ;) Nous verrons comment ça se passe (We’ll see how it goes)!
I love you!!! :)
On the downside, the martial art that I want to learn (Arnis aka Eskrima, which is essentially Filipino Stick Fighting) doesn’t really get taught anywhere near me, and the few places I’ve found that do teach it are expensive AND far away.
I actually took a lesson once years ago and already have the equipment but the lessons were very informal and the instructor was only around sometimes instead of every week…and it looks like he’s stopped doing them entirely now. :(
YOU CAN DO ALL OF THAT BECAUSE YOU’RE AN AMAZING GODDESS WHO CAN DO ANYTHING SHE SETS HER MIND TO! I will teach you French to get that first thing ticked off your list too! ;)
OMG I WOULD LOVE TO LEARN FRENCH. I also want to learn Tagalog and Spanish. I could ask my mum to teach me those two but to be honest she drives me INSANE. :P
